Our Employees

Our employees are essential drivers of innovation and growth. Their collective talent and commitment shape the success of our businesses and enable us to navigate challenges while advancing our purpose of building a better future. Together, we foster a culture where people thrive and create impact beyond the workplace.

As of end-2024, the Group’s workforce reached 57,428 employees, excluding those from our foreign operations and Bank of Commerce, which are not within the scope of this Report. Of this population, 88% are regular employees, while 12% are engaged as project-based staff or consultants. Among regular employees, 97% serve as rank-and-file, primarily in sales, manufacturing, and logistics—core areas that drive our business. Officers and middle managers make up just 3% of the total, reflecting our lean management structure and efficient overhead cost.

Project-based employees are hired for specific assignments such as construction projects and receive compensation and benefits aligned with the roles they perform. Consultants, engaged for their specialized expertise, support various management teams across business units and are similarly compensated based on the value they contribute.

In 2024, the Group created 4,071 new jobs, marking an 8% increase in total employment versus previous years. Most of these roles were generated by ongoing infrastructure projects and expansion activities within our Food and Beverage business.

Alongside this growth, the Group sustained efforts to improve gender representation. Female employees comprised 27% of the workforce, while male employees accounted for 73%, with a maleto female ratio of 2.6:1. Among the management team, the ratio improved slightly to 1.8:1. While these figures reflect the nature of the industries in which we operate, we continue to see strong representation of women in key leadership roles across business units.

In 2024, we further enhanced programs aimed at strengthening sustainability consciousness among our employees. We also focused on reinforcing our succession talent pool while promoting and nurturing holistic well-being across the organization—ensuring our people are prepared to lead and thrive in a dynamic and evolving business environment.

Our workforce is becoming more diverse with a healthy mix of experienced professionals and new talent. While employees aged 30 to 50 years old continue to comprise the majority at 58%, younger employees under 30 represent 33%—a growing segment that brings fresh perspectives, innovative thinking, and a strong drive for continuous improvement.
